Ever since we got our vitamix, we have been smoothie making machines! Our latest smoothie includes two servings of vegetables, two servings of fruit, and anti-inflammatory and antioxidant powders—turmeric and spirulina.
Turmeric powder is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. A lot of diseases in the western culture are related to inflammation (heart diseases, cancer, Alzheimer’s, etc.). That’s why it’s so important and beneficial to include anti-inflammatory foods into our diet.
Spirulina is a blue-green algae that is known as one of the most nutrient-dense foods. Its anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidants can prevent harmful diseases and oxidative damage in our bodies. It’s also known to provide better endurance and muscle strength.
All of these ingredients blend together to make a deliciously fresh Green Mango Smoothie Bowl. Top it off with some bananas, granola and chia seeds for added texture.
